Nexus 6 the first big screen device by Google

Google for mobile industry has become like the blood that flow within the veins. The major turning point came when it acquired Android in the year 2005, since then the company has not looked back. The main objective of this acquisition was to make the Google a brand that is on the mouth of every individual. Google made the smart phones in the reach of every individual. Many companies are now working after purchasing the rights of android and then customizing it the way they want to.

In 2010 Google stepped into the consumer electronics market with a tag of Nexus. This product by Google has seen major success and there have been six releases under the smart phone tag and four tablets up till now. The devices run completely on Android software without any customization done in the graphical user interface. Google is whole and sole party that decides about the marketing, designs as well as the development of these devices. Its just the manufacturing part that is handled by other mobile manufacturing companies like HTC, Samsung, Asus, LG, and Motorola Mobility.

Google Nexus devices are the first to get the latest android update that is but obvious you see. In 2014 Google launched Nexus 6 manufactured by Motorola Mobility a successor in every way to Google Nexus 5. Google for the first time got into the phablet category after launching the Nexus six. The device sports 6” quad HD AMOLED Pen Tile (RGBG) display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by an amazing Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad core processor which makes it smooth and fast coupled with a clock speed of 2.7 GHz. It bags in a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.0 lens plus Optical Image Stabilization and LED flash while the front camera is 2 MP. The battery backup is big with 3220 mAh battery featuring the Turbo Charging Technology.

The device sports a 3 GB RAM and just like the predecessor it neither consists of the SD card slot nor has a removable battery or a FM radio. The Nexus 6 is launched under two storage capacities 32 GB and 64 GB. It has a Wireless charging feature and on the Connectivity end it sports GSM / LTE / CDMA plus Bluetooth v4.1. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and the device also has USB on the Go facility which needs to be enabled by the user for exchanging data with external storage devices. The Turbo charging facility has revamped the battery charging process which has extended for up to six hours within just fifteen minutes. This is a single sim handset and comprises of the Nano-sim variant. Google has tried to launch itself in the big screen market with Nexus 6.

The company has always had high hopes with the Nexus series and it has always delivered more than expected. Firstly there were no plans by Google to enter the consumer electronics market but after seeing its development and growth it changed its mind and we all can see the results.
