24 dangerous apps that are stealing smartphone data.
A cybersecurity company recently discovered malware on an Android smartphone. The malware has attacked 24 Android apps. The users of those apps were more than 100,000 people. Google has removed these apps from the Play Store, as malware attacks those apps and exposes them to endangering user data.
These apps were found to be infected with a new type of Trojan in the Google Play Store. The Trojan virus is named Joker.
The Trojan silently interacts with the website where the ad is displayed and shares the app user’s data with that website. The virus, which is introduced in the app, also gives SMS to the smartphone as well as a contact list of the phone and other information and data on the device.
Not only this, but it also steals information about the mobile phone’s IMEI number and serial number. Here are the apps that are attacked by such dangerous malware and are stealing user data:
